March media log
-Wow, March is sooooooo much longer than February, what the hell! (so long in fact that i'm actually "time travel posting" this from early April! What can you do 🤷)

Read all the way through Cecilia Gentili's Faltas. Surprise, really good!

I think I'm starting on the candy route of the Homestuck Epilogues? I think i'm ready to get back into it...
Also yes I did read the 3 page prologue and only the 3 page prologue of Tombs of Atuan. I'll get there!
Alice got me an advance copy of A/S/L (by Jeanne Thornton) and it is so extremely my shit, absolutley lovvving it.

"Why Album of the Year Lists are Gay" Sent to me by aloe, because a friend had sent it to hir becuase it reminded them of hir and then ze sent it to me because it reminded hir of me. I haven't actually done my "read through while listening" yet but i very much enjoyed the words!
Two great long pieces of writing from Horse Jeans: We're in a Dark Woods Now and her album of the year list (lol) which had just loads of good stuff in it.
Brilliant (as always) missive from Taylor on the shifting season: Ice and Mud.
Had a funny experience where a little while ago I did my thing where I follow the links through from someone leaving a comment/review on a bandcamp album and I ended up on this person's itch page and followed them and then later got an email that they had uploaded a bunch of stuff and spent some time reading this totally wild sort-of-hyperlink denpa waves anime mess journal entries. I was kind of hypnotized! Weirder still I realized I was the only person following them on itch. I felt this impulse to comment and let them know i was reading, but at the same time it felt like kind of a bad idea... Like it was a manifestation of the denpa waves and i was getting my head hollowed out through the computer, so I didn't. Then I went and found the album they'd commented on and saw they'd deleted the comment, and later in the day they'd deleted most of the journal entries. Just internet girl things ✌️
movies & TV & podcasts & youtube videos
We finished Girls. I'll say it again: What a fucking show. I don't think I'd say they landed the plane exactly but I'm still going to miss watching it. It was good! There was a lot of good stuff in there!
Made good on someone's recommendation to listen to Shelved by Genre after rambling to them about Wizard of Earthsea and them saying they had two episodes on it. Haven't actually listened to those yet but did very much enjoy the two on Uzumaki!
Started National Treasure on an impulse after a group hang to deal with things we were all putting off, then finished a week later with Olivia. Such a god damn fun movie! Watched the second one too and it was also very fun! We did not watch the recent disney series tho 😤 gotta draw the line somewhere.
Siiiiiiighhhhhhh, so many damn youtube videos this month... I've really been zoning it out hardcore style. Not one but two 8 hour stream recordings (both banal pokemon catching marathons)! Really enjoyed this Spartoi Meadow solo hazel stream, lovely vibes; and haven't finished this fear and hunger one but have been enjoying it. Also Mae started playing animal crossing new leaf! really enjoying having it on but i'm afraid it'll usurp my own desire to replay the game, so i think i need to be careful with it...
Way at the start of the month I found this "Konata Healing Springs extended edition", a beautifully vintaged lucky star YTPMV. But then I clicked through to the channel and saw this guy has like an archive of 200+ videos like this! I did some pretty ridiculous link dredging to figure out how to make a playlist of of all the channel's videos and I did it! Here's a link to one of my favorites inside the playlist! i'm sure loooaaads of people are gonna be chomping at the bit for this one :P There are some stunning 10 minute masterpieces in here and also some that are just garbarge. That's part of the fun!
Two short-form hypnotizers: "Firing the Lorentz Cannon" and "Steeplejack Fred Dibnah takes down a massive chimney brick by brick" lol. Thanks Phi and Petra, respectively.
Really funny and honestly quite good Devi McCallion interview!
Very illuminating Jane Remover/Venturing video essay, "Venturing's Return & Killing the Past". Biggest takeaway: she literally announced a new album on january 1st!!! :crying: ohp, speaking from the future and it's already out and holy shit haha it's good
Almost forgot: I also watched Castration Movie! Phenomenal, so glad i got to see it in a crammed living room full of transsexuals, life is good, magic is real

eeeuuugh too much good music this month!!!! fuck it, here's a bunch:
and of course, listening to the jane remover singles every other day
games
Had an absolutely wretched hypnotism spell with an idle clicker that I will deliberately not be naming or linking to lest I inflict the curse on someone else. It's really, uh, wild? unsettling? how when my focus/attention gets pulled just right I am completely incapacitated. Kinda freaky kinda sad. Also lol, after a tiny bit of digging I discovered that the developer was making grimdark my little pony art way back when. Typical.
Redemption arc! CSS Clicker from the incredible and limitless Lyra Rebane. It made me smile, it made me laugh, it made me dance, it cured me. click click click!
Played thru nadia nova's Slime Feet (18+ btw). Been meaning to for a while. What a special, touching thing.
Because of all the stream recordings I've been watching it feels like I've been playing things but actually, that's it!
whew, april time. I joined a "group therapy for adults diagnosed with adhd" that started recently and it has really pushed me to another level of whatever this whole thing is I'm experiencing. I don't feel like saying too much more about it right now because mainly i want to be able to check this box off of my megalist that is 6 days overdue >.<
