A video essay on the 2002 Irianian film, Deserted Station.

This was a collaboration with Joleen Evans. Over clips from the film and relelvant footage we argued that the film resists Hollywood’s global influence and creates an inward-looking, socially conscious film. We also ground it in the context of the cultural milleu of Iran
